    Join us this Sat. for the art opening <Circuladium Join us this Sat. for the art opening <Circuladium: Rain Catcher> and the premiere of performance <Worm Charmer> Location: Tiger Strikes Asteroid @tsa_ny New York 1329 Willoughby Ave, #2A Brooklyn, NY 11237 Exhibition dates: July 19 – August 17, 2024 Gallery Hours: Sat & Sun 1 – 6 pm Opening Reception: Saturday, July 19, 6 – 9pm <Worm Charmer> performed by Hui-Ying Tsai & Merik Goma at 6:45 pm Worm Charmer is a performance using sensory memories to pave a path of resistance. It activates the body as an instrument, summoning writhing, wetness, and the tremors of subterranean sense. Eroticism emerges as language, as escape, as rhythm in contact with the earth. Through sound, scent, sweat, and salt, artists channel a sacred, feral intelligence of the flesh within the audience. The performance carves open the gaze, casting writhing as resistance, charm as action. From throat to soil, the ritual is a seepage to unnamed desire and reclaims the body as an extension of the land.     New interactive sound piece "Kite" is opening this New interactive sound piece "Kite" is opening this Saturday @ Fengtian Culture and History Center in Hualien, Taiwan. This piece heavily incorporates the community of the village. The prints contain the collage artworks made by the local elderly, and the sounds are the recording of local people‘s stories and singing about home, as well as the ambient sounds of the environment. There are 10 wood fired ceramic handles made from the clay of the local mountain and glazed mixed with local plants. Each of them then was made to be conductive so when people hold the handles the change of electricity will trigger sounds that compose a different soundscape.
